How do i know what chest it opens?

also how do i find the other half?

It's some sort of locked chest in Taverly/Dungeon of Taverly

to get the other half, you have got to try looking for it by killing rock crabs, getting caskets and stuff

You can sell each half for 50k and the whole key for 100k, or you can possibly get something more than 100k in the chest

When you go to taverly their is the witches house, when you get to about the middle of that you see a big long building, the chest is in the part closest to the members gate, and Garland the whole key is 85-90k as the loop is only worth 40k and people rarely buy a full key
