at my secondary school it was a 'sin' to swear and we'd get detentions. But one of the drama teachers did.

At college, 3 of my teachers swear. My ICT teacher says 'lower graded' swear words but my Comms tutor and Graphics tutor goes all the way to the 'C' word

but we're still a great college - full of freedom...hence the swearing

Same. If you were caught that is. And no, I've never heard them swear. And I don't think I'll ever.

Swearing at times sort of puts them on the same level as you, so the kids are more reactive to what that teacher says. The teachers at my school that sometimes swear are among the favourites, probably because of that. It's a good thing in small doses really, stops kids from having the stupid "I hate teachers" attitude.
