Not every change we make to the forum is to make our jobs easier, spam is delt with moderators and administrators we wouldnt make such drastic changes for just the reason of "spam"

    The truthful reason is:

There have been a few temporary time limits set in place, recently the amount of users on Habbox Forum (mainly from the posting script and searching on the forum) have caused the servers to crash recently yesterday the forum crashed the servers 3 times in one day. So we had to have the forum temporarily disconnected from the internet whilst I came up with a temporary solution.

The limits set in place has improved server load by a great deal and the reports of forum laag or slowness has been reduced to the a record minimum (saving space in my Pm inbox Sweet!)

Until we come up with a solution to the server load problem which we are currently working on the limits will have to stay in place.

We should have a solution to our server problems in the next upcoming 5 days and the limits will be reduced to a more respectable limit.

I will leave this thread open for discussion but anymore complaints and I will close it!

The flood prevention system is in place on the forum to prevent people from making to many topics or post in a short amount of time.

Moderators, super moderators and administrators can override the time limit but no one else can.

It is also up to admin to decide the amount of time that users have to wait to post another thread / post.

lol, its hardly ages - It probably took me about 45 seconds to write this post. It seems OK to me, it stops people flooding the Forum with spam, or at least slows them down

I think there use to be either a 15 second or a 30 second limit before the 45 second one was introduced. So waiting another 15-30 seconds doesn't really make any difference as Bowsey said it should help to stop a few spam messages and encourage more sensible posts.

Well I can remove the limit but it would be like a few days ago with,

takes 20 seconds to load page,
takes 15 seconds to write post
takes 15 seconds for forum to parse post,
you realise that the post you made is a bit unclear so you edit it,
another 10 seconds to load editor
another 5 seconds to save changes. OH WAIT SERVER CRASHED OOPS YOU LOST YOUR CHANGES!

So collectively thats like 1 minute plus to save to just make the one post,

at least this way everything is fast and instant.

Everyone in the past 2 weeks especially have experienced the whole,
*click on a forum - page is loading*
and it takes so long to load you are like "hmm I am hungry I will make a sandwich" you come back and the forum has only just loaded or hasnt loaded along due to a time out.

Twas 30 seconds baving I will post a list of all limitations on forum soon
