360 Is good but most of the PS3 features are tons better, the graphics card in the PS3 is better than 360 but hardly any of the game developers are any good at matching the game developers for xbox, I have also heard that PS3 has the ability of duel disks, I'm not sure on that one but we'll find out about May or something, PS3 might not out sell the 360 due to people thinking that Sony arnt as good as Microsoft but Sony didn't release their product early so the PS3 will have very few bugs in it

Idiot, Nintendo's best console was the one after the SNES, the N64, argurably the best gaming system ever.

    Default Poor lonely Nintendo :(

Poor Nintendo. No one is talking about it. I love Nintendo, but they release enough news about it so I can't really talk about it's features.. Which might not be necessary.

This is what Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's president, had to say:

"Different also defines our approach to our next home system. It won't simply be new or include new technologies. Better technology is good, but not enough. Today's consoles already offer fairly realistic expressions so simply beefing up the graphics will not let most of us see a difference. So what should a new machine do? Much more. An unprecedented gameplay experience. Something no other machine has delivered before.

"The definition for a new machine must be different. I want you to know that Nintendo is working on our next system and that system will create a gaming revolution. Internal development is underway.

"I could give you our technical specs, as I'd know you'd like that, but I won't for a simple reason: they really don't matter. The time when horsepower alone made all the difference is over.

"Work on Revolution is well underway. When you see it you will be excited because you will experience a gaming revolution."

Kudos to him. I agree with his arguement. The general public isn't concerned about a console's specs so much as how it looks. The design of the consoles and their controllers seem to have stuck and Nintendo is willing to change that. Nintendo has basically said "Okay, graphics aren't that important anymore, as long as the picture is clear and the game is fun".

That could be seen as a bad thing (I don't know how, but hey, to some people, a tremendously boring game is still cool if it looks nice), but it is a good thing in the sense that now, we're going to get games that are 100% focused on AWESOME. And I mean, awesome play styles (The controller can be used in many different ways), more originality, better ideas, refined controls, etc.

The controller it will have is something I'm really looking forward to. -HEY! WAKE UP! :D- It will be like trying out a console for the first time, and I personally want to see the new possibilities this gaming console will uncover for everyone.

I also found it kind of funny when PS3 fanboys critisized the Nintendo's controller when third-party companies have already planned out PS3 controllers. ;D

    Look Familiar?

    Summary of this extra-long post

    Nintendo Revolution

Each generation of video game consoles builds on the past to set new standards for the future. As the company with the strongest heritage of innovation, Nintendo redefines expectations for all next-gen systems by employing a wide-ranging strategy to attract more kinds of gamers to more kinds of games. When Nintendo’s new console, code-named Revolution, arrives in 2006, everyone will discover the meaning of All-Access Gaming.

"We will show the world what a next-gen system can be. Revolution marries the strongest heritage of innovation to the future of gaming," says Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. "With backward compatibility and the 'virtual console' concept, the stylish, compact body provides maximum gaming power. It will not only take home entertainment into another dimension by expanding the definition of video games, but it also will give you access to the great history of gaming."

Multiplayer games are unbeatable on nintendo, and nintendo are proffesionals when it comes to fun based games. The idea of games has totally gone to pot! Its all about graphics, bleedin' Halo is popular! For its graphics! Its so sad that people care about what games look like and not what the game is about and if it is fun or not. I dont play games alot, iusually play a console when my mates come round.
Im not going to play some halo game, im gonna play a game which makes you cry with laughter.

Woo at star idea, got 2 sexy pink stars now

The 360, has pretty amazing graphics and in reality is pretty much the same specs as PS3 (Leaving Blu-ray out of it)

and also, the orignal xbox lost 4 million pound and their planning to lose more with the 360.

Sony are clever they have the gaming market and they make most of the profits from the games and accessories.

revoloution will be the 'true' next gen console simply because there trying something amazily smart, cool and a totally new way of playing games!

I disagree. The Revolution could be the best Nintendo Console we've seen yet! Anything could happen. Just because YOU think it will be "another flop from Nintendo" doesn't mean it will be. All the video's and previews of the Revolution I've seen have been brillient. So stop jumping to conclusions and just wait and see how good the Revolution will be. I think it will do pretty well when it is out. I do NOT Disagree that the 360 is also a good console though. But personaly I do think Nintendo are going to do quite well when the Revolution comes out. June is it? Correct me if im wrong. Im not to sure about the controller though, I think im going to prefer the Gamecube ones. But atleast Nintendo ARE trying something new.

Also.. I read in my Magazine (Nintendo Official Magazine, Buy yourself a copy ) That you will be able to Download Nintendo 64 and SNES games on the Revolution!

Also I think that the Online feture will be more easy to set up on the Revolution. And As Weeeeeeeeeeee said Nintendo CANNOT Be beaten on Multi-player games or fun based games. Mario Kart is my personal Fave Multi-player.
