Too true, I wouldnt freelance for anyone untill the website is looking around 50/50. Instead of inputting all my work for it just to collapse and fail.

Just a notice; Get everything up to date first, such as your floormaps; then employ around 10 pixel artists, then go for coders. Coders will not join if they have nothing to code with.

Why are you insulting him? There is actually no point.

And to the thread. I think you need to go back and think more about this as you will need a very large budget for some dedicated servers so you can handle lots of Bandwith and Disk Space. And also you really should learn lots of programming before you can actually even attempt the whole programming status of it.

Such programming languages like mainly Lingo programming and The whole C languages and probably OOP. You also need to have lots of pixel art and know how to set such things as working DCR's to test your shockwave client. Now if you want to get some freelancers that will do programming cheap you will need lots of pixel art and a good looking site to even get a cheap programmer as they cannot code nothing. And to be honest it would be a waste of time for a programmer to code say four sprites or whatever and other stuff that you need to program with an online MMORPG.

Anyway I wish you good luck in all this just really have a good think about what you are doing and perhaps work on lots of other sites before even attempting this.

Why does everyone assume that online games *MUST* be made in Director, there are other programs/languages you know?

I actually mentioned other languages in my post. I know that online MMORPG's can be made in other programs than Director they can be made in Java and in Flash and Actionscript.

I just pointed out the main thing that online games can be made in especially as he pointed out like 'Habbo Hotel' and thats coded in Director.
