on .com its pretty easy to be come a silver hobba im not sure about gold and if you have to be 18 etc for that, i do know you have to buy furni and have so many rooms etc but its just a way of making money i think, i know of 3 people off .co.uk who have got a silver hobba badge on .com and they are nowhere near worth being allowed in the hotel let alone having a badge, i think many will ruin this for the ones who realy want to help, after a while and many people being scammed etc by a few un deserving silver hobbas i can see they will have to change their hobba application criteria, If they got their account banned from what i have seen it wont take them long to get a new silver hobba account up and running.

They are abusing their powers but it is a good way to get some publicity, also as this is .com that probably the most people they've ever seen in a room past 20.

Hobbas who are abusing their powers ARE being de-baged.

If a hobba mutes/alerts you for no reason - use the CFH and say a hobba is misusing its powers.
Habbo Staff can see who mutes/alerts who and who it came from.
