Because Area 51 is a bird-killing virus pandemic?

As I've put elsewhere, you can only contract this bird flu if you already have human flu. Also, it won't make much difference, as human flu kills many more people than this bird flu has.

Scientists say it's inevitable that bird flu will mutate and turn into a human disease and predict that around 50,000 people will die.

^^ That's what the news says anyway.

Btw, that's not 50,000 people in the UK, 50,000 people in the whole world.

Scientists also say that AIDs is a mutant form of SV40, a disease chimps and such can get. Of course, this is true, but then we're told that it got out because of people who had cuts, and the virus getting in, but as far as I'm concerned on the matter, I've seen enough through various sources that it was mutated in a lab and distributed in the 60s/70s.

All this stuff being said is propergander from the media.
The government thought that enemies shouldn't know about area51 and if that included their own people they had to do it. Area51 doesn't really affect the American people. They used it as a test for planes/UAVs/Missiles. Thats it. No freaky aliens or anything.

The media has hyped this seriously. You can only get infected from being in contact with an infected bird. It's fine to eat and whatever.

I personally think the media has a problem with the Blair government and are using this to make them look like they are doing nothing in the face of a potential crisis. *sigh*

I think the panic is a great thing, the price of poultry has gone well down, you can buy a duck for about £3.50 now, brilliant.

You guys are actually falling for this?

Remember SARS a few years ago? ("Oh yeah, i think so")-- That was WAY more overhyped than this, and it killed barely anyone, it really just went away.

There is one of these potential "Global killers" every few years, and its amazing that people still believe it. Yes, we need some preperation and vactionations, but dont walk around with a guard over your mouth.
