Add Deep Purple, who made arguably the best rock song ever.

There is a reason to why Nirvana is overrated, but its kinda hard to explain. None the less, good band.

Rolling Stones, just for the song 'Paint It Black'. Its amazing how ahead of the times that song was. It sounds like something that would come out in the 90's or even today. But it came out in 1966. Not to mention its probably the most remade song ever. U2, Deep Purple, Vanessa Carlton, GOB, Tea Party, Johnny Lang, Face to Face, Earth Crisis, W.A.S.P., Rage, Glenn Tipton, Elliott Smith, Eternal Afflict, Anvil, and Risa Song all remade it.

Also Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., and Radiohead can all fit into the category of legendary.
