I've noticed that some downloads of SS don't work.
So if Ezzie's advice doesn't help, go to download.com, find swiftswitch, download that version ( i think it is 2.10)
then update it and it works

Don't use 2.10, it is old and doesn't have all the worlds and might have security risks
