Well there is a 60 message limit per time you log on so you could have any amount of messages on there.

Also, everytime you delete all your messages, only 2 per time actually are deleted so it'll take a long time to shift them.

My advice is, unless you're a heavy console user, I'd remove everyone on your console, then add the people back that you actually want/need on your list.

Well, i used to get 60 messages every time i logged in but to stop it i pressed reply then cancel on every one. After I had cleared the 60, i then reloaded and did the same for the next 60 and so on untill id cleared EVERY Message. This took me quite awhile, but i suppose its worth it instead of getting the messages.
