They do that when the song title is not said in the song itself. They put the most memorable line in parenthesis, usually with songs that are popular or singles. Like the song by Chevelle, "Vitamin R" (Called that because its about his friend who started become addicted to ridilin), but they never say it in the song. So they put in parenthesis "Leading Us Along" because its in the chorus.
Look at the parenthesis I used above. It isnt really apart of the sentence, more of just side notes about the song.
Some songs I have have the words in brackets as they're mentioned in the song as well as the main song name, such as Pretty Girl (The Way) by Sugarcult and I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes) by The Used
