Its not horror, more mystery. Some blood, but not much.

And yes, christians are mad because it suggests Jesus Christ was married to a woman that the bible states as a prostitute, Mary Magdalene, and they even had a child together. The thing they dont understand is that the book is FICTION. It says 'Novel' right on the cover. The man who wrote it is a christain, I dont think he would insult his own religion. However it is an actual theory, and if you read the book, some proof makes a lot of sense.

Would a poorly written book sell over 40 million copies Internationally? No.

I have read The Da Vinci Code and it is one hell of a book, I loved every page of it. Too many people say that The Da Vinci Code is a novel, which is true however let me quote that Dan Brown did say, "It's a novel, fiction based on fact." -- And the first page of the book did say that every historical truth, event and places are entirely fact. If everything in The Da Vinci Code was fictional then what about The Last Supper? The Priory of Sion? They are all fact and everything, every 'code' is FACT.

I saw the film last night and it's brilliant. Every actor portrays the characters perfectly.

A film starring movie legends Tom Hanks, Sir Ian McKellen and alot of others based on a book which sold over £40 million copies can not be a bad film!
