    Think about it.
In 30 years time, will anyone remember Green Day... Probably not.
In 30 years time, will people still remember queen, Definatly.
NONE of todays music is any match for Queen, if you look at all theirt achievements. They're the sort of band that has an influence on most of todays music.

Not comparable, but Queen had the biggest impact in music.

Depends on what type of influentuality. Influential to go into music? definatly. Influential as in inspiring the type of music you want to play? definatly not. I havent heard a single band that sounds like queen.

And people will remember Green Day, its hard to be around for nearly 20 years and not get noticed. Especially because of their ongoing connection with the youth. Green Day is one of the very few bands that can go on for years and years and still have their major audience be in their teens. I can only think of a few others to be honest. Not to mention, Dookie is one of the greatest albums of all time. This isnt just me or people on this forum, its the truth. Rolling Stone magazine (probably the biggest music magazine ever) rated the top 500 albums of all time. Dookie was #193, above a countless amount of famous albums.

Freddie mercury was a legend, you couldn't get a better live act (I acknoledge this and i like hip hop). I think the closest anyones got to competeing with him was Michael Jacksons performance of Billie Jean in the motown awards, that was out of theis world Greenday are ok, i don't like them that much

Ah but I saw that list and 1. Return Of Saturn didnt even make the list and 2. Rocksteady SOMEHOW managed to place over 100 places ahead of Tragic Kingdom when it was **** compared to TK and wayyy less influential thankss.

I agreed with the early part of the list. I think past the 250 mark or so, they didnt really 'rate' them, just put a bunch of albums in that they thought should go on the list.
Also, the 'greatness' doesnt ALWAYS mean a better album, it sometimes means the impact or the influential meaning. Just as an example, if In Utero by Nirvana was before Nevermind, and had SLTS on it, it would probably be the greater album in comparison to Nevermind. Its all the impact and timing. Another example would be O.K. Computer by Radiohead trailing The Bends. I, and Im sure many others consider OKC a better album [not by much], but The Bends was very unexpected and had a lot of influence. Thus, the greatness of it was higher. Theyre close though.
