If you're straight, then why do you care so?

Gay People CAN become straight later in life, and viser virser.

    Erm.

Sorry for being a nerd but if homosexuality was governed by genes then it is my understanding that the gay gene would have been a one off mutation that would never have been passed on because of the simple fact that the carrier was gay and therefore unlikely to pass on the gene to a heterosexually produced child.

So therefore the likely conclusion is that homosexuality is in fact a nurture not nature trait.

I think your saying it is our choice?
Well, I know for a fact its not.
If I had a choice I would have rather been straight, it would make life alot easier.

No, choice isn't it at all. Things can't always be classified as either DNA or choice. I reckon if you had 2 identical twins and they grew up in 2 different enviroments, you could have one who is gay and one who is straight.

The thread poster was saying that if 1 identical twin is gay then the other would be too.

Homosexuality is a product of overpopulation of a species, as nature's way of trying to stop further breeding (same as with infertility - both infertility and homosexuality have become more prominent since population booms) proven by the fact that it can and has occurred in other animals when overpopulation is a problem. It's a kind of temporary evolution, if you like to think of it in that way. This theory can also be used to show that in today's world we have an actual need for homosexuals to maintain natural balance - that is, unless people would prefer the mass slaughter of a large chunk of the human population on Earth.

Of course homosexuality and infertility have become more prominent since the population boom, there are more people I'd love to see some percentages on that. You could say 1/100 people were gay in the 50's, but these days it's 1/10. Well, yes, but is that down to the fact that the population has increased, people are more open these days, or is it really natures way of trying to stunt the population growth? Infertility can be caused by many things, including smoking, radiowaves etc. Also, no, you don't choose to be gay. If I said right now, "I want to have sex with a man", would I physically want that? No.
