just get 40 defense will lvl u up about 4 combat lvl's? cuz 20 defense gets u 2 defense levels or wut ever so idk

I dont really wanna wear rune.. i wanted to wear like zammy robes. Will the defence still be active even if not wearing good armour?

No don't get 40 defense get 20 or 10 10 to wear black 20 for mystic great mage bonus :p. Depends what you will use .
