I slit my wrist once.

Can anyone tell me if the mark you get across your wrist ever goes away. About 4 months ago I was going through alot of stress with my parents breaking up. My dad would always get mad and take it out on me. When we got in fights he would say some really mean stuff to me that hurt me so badly. So I ran downstairs and took a razord blade from the medical kit and I sat there and looked at my wrist and forced myself to cut. Thankfully I didnt do it that bad to make me die from it and barely any blood came out. But today if I could go back to that day I wouldnt have done it, I would have just went out with my friends instead for some fresh air but now I have a small dark scare going across my wrist. In the 4 months that have gone by it has faded to be barely noticable, but if I look closely I can still see the scar.

Will it ever go away?

Not exactly his fault, Place.
Stress can do alot. Make people do things they have to do to make the stress go away, dont say how. :/ Look it up. Under selfharm/self multilation.
And Ost, scars do fade, over years they do, some cuts ive had have turned into scars, and faded. Depends on the length, width and depth of the cut.

Before I slit my wrist I always thought to myself that I would never get depressed enought to do that. But all the depression came so fast I wasent even thinking. The only thing that was going through my head was how bad I was feeling at that moment. To this day, I cant believe that I actualy slit my wrist, but I did.

I have an extremely emo friend that cuts alot. They go down over time, but by the time they do my friend has cut again and made new ones

But yes scars do generally fade. if its too deep/ wide it'll talk a while.
I have a burn scar on my leg and it went about a year and a half after..

Some of you are disgusting. Cutting someones name into your flesh? Wth? "Oh god! I broke up with my g/f!! Now im gonan carve her name into me and keep it forever so i will tell my wife whne im 34" >.> SOME of you are weirdos. Why result to cutting? There are other things rather than opening your self..
