No they weren't. Red and Blue were the very first Pokemon games. Diamond and Pearl are completely new games.

Peral and Diamond came out ages ago along with Jade. Its just like pokemon green was only out in japan and not in northa america. This is the same thing!

Then you sir are not a die hard fan. You're talking rubbish - there's never been an official Pokemon Jade. A game called Telefang was translated into English by bootleggers and the two versions "Telefang: Speed" and "Telefang: Power" were redubbed as Pokemon Diamond and Jade. These were fakes.

I've been wanting a proper free-roaming Pokemon game to turn up on the 'Cube, but the closest we got was Gale Of Darkness. What a disappointment.

I did have Colesseum on the N64, but... Well it seemed more of just battle after battle rather than free-roaming.

Loved the minigames though, especially the Lickitung one
