The only really screaming band I like is Chevelle.
The only band that really fits today's emo definition that I like is AFI

I do like a lot of bands with heavy guitars like RATM, Audioslave, Muse, but I dont define them as really metal.

Everytime i see a emo I kick him. I cant understand them and I hate them. Life is cool and they have to scrap it.

The original style of emo was good. I call it "Pre-emo" (since to most people, emo is a recent thing). It wasent all this dark- heavy screaming stuff. It was actually quite catchy and thats the type of stuff Im really into. Its bands like Jimmy Eat World, Rival Schools, and others.

Gwar have appeared on Viva La Bam a few times [Dunno if you get that show in CA]

Out of them my faves would be;
Trivium,Lamb of god [No S],Slayer.

But I like the others just not as much as them 3 ^^


And yeah I know what you mean RedStratocas J.E.W were like sort of that emo/rock stuff from back in the day and like you said now it's more screaming/more actual emotional slower lyrics.
