Also, I don't know if it was me personally or other people too, but the wiring sometimes pressed a lot on the inside of the mouth, but using wax to prevent that helps.

Hurt when you get them tightened, but they're worth it just because you appreciate it SO SO MUCH when they come off. tyo22 you will be so happy tomorrow when you get to run your tongue over smooth teeth rather than lumpy, metallic brace

I've had mine on for about 2 years now. Don't worry about getting braces, they only ache a bit when you get them first put on and adjusted, but nurofen and a bit of calgel (seriously, it works) soon takes care of that.

It's kind of weird at first getting adjusted to them, I suppose it depends on preference, but the only time it hurt me was when I got them tightened.

It can irritate a bit for the first couple of days and it hurts a bit when they take them off (I had mine off about 3 weeks ago)

I think some people are confused about retainers and braces  .
Anyway, putting them on hurt for like a week or just under. I could eat like normal stuff but found it very hard to drink cold drinks. It irritated them rather alot.

Second time was irritating for about 3 days.

    Third 1 + 1/2 days.

And that's as far as I am I think...
No im on my fourth coming up for fifth.

Fourth; half/three quarters of a day.

Any idiot that calls you names related to your braces are just stupid. It'll be you with straight teeth. Not them. Lol lol lol lol lol.
