I've done that drive from CT to NYC. Long drive, and we were breaking the speed limit, US cars don't seem to go as fast as European ones. And my dad would move from the US if he lived there. 50 MPH, that is terrible. My dad drives like 90.

Haha, not a long drive compared to some others. Last year when we took a trip all along North Carolina, 48 hours of the 1 week we were doing it, were spent driving.
