right i think your FTP account only has access to..

www.yoursite.com/yourftpaccount

instead of having access to the full website.

Ask your manager/owner/host who ever controls 'FTP' to recreate the account and as folder name palce "/" in, nothing eles.

so it would be..

FTP Username: [email protected]in
FTP Password: yourftppassword
FTP Url: ftp.yoursite.domain
FTP Folder: www.yoursite.domain/

If oyu enter anything in the 'folder name' you will not have access to the full website only to that folder so no one will able to see the content unless you link them to the folder such as

www.yoursite.domain/ftpname

If you dont have a ftp program, if im correct you can use dreamweaver using the publish function within i tried in school but school sucks as they wont let me access internet for looking at pron
