Also the reason its like that is because its saved as gif so people can save the png and open it in fireworks and edit it, I am not like you who uses "paint"

Whats wrong with paint it gives you more control over your work and i also use photoshop anyway just mainly paint

Its a good layout so far. The effect going onto the background goes well. The banner looks good and doesnt look cheap. It would be a good layout to code in CSS.
