And also I have showers + baths, so that washes the gel out, so I have to gel it the next day.

Its if you wear a hat or a cap like everyday your hair starts falling it.
Gel does nothing to your hair except style it and keep it in place.

Also, if you gel it everyday and dont wash your hair you get gel flakes, but I was it every night though.
