ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADING MUSIC IS ILLEGAL, you arn't true fans of your band if you don't buy their music.

Totally agree, although it's making me very very skint all the time I find it much more worthwhile buying a CD so the money goes to the band so they can go out and record a new CD,plus with downloading CDs you get less overrated/overplayed tracks on them and some new tracks you might not have heard.

I'll download a few tracks and if I like them I'll go out and get the album.

That is exactly what I do, cos I usually see like one song on Scuzz/Kerrang or something and think 'Ooh I wonder what they're like' so I download a few and if the songs are worthwhile I'll go and buy the album and do the process continually with bands.

And album versions are better, you don't get intros/ends cut off, you get the proper song info etc.

Why's that? There are actually very few musicians who are very anti-music theft. Musicians themselves are even retaliating against record companies to lower the prices of CD's which is one of the major reasons people dont buy music anymore.

The last CD I bought was a compilation of local ska bands.
