it would really depend where your going to put it ^^ like some places it would have to be one but if lots of space one or the other ^^

i havn't seen it horizontal so i just say vertical

But the console is slanted and also has a stand for the vertical position. It isnt a perfect square so it really isnt made for the Horizontal stance. But I suppose thats up to whoever has one.

Now, that is not a perfect square. The console its self is slanted. Unless the stand it self is designed to make the console look that way, I have yet to see the inside of the stand so I don't know if its all flat inside or some bits are bulked too make the console look slanted. You may be right.
