Everyone knew each other in my year when I was at school so there was always someone to chat to in a lesson.

If you get the option to do any coursework in year 10, do it. I didn't realise that it was actually serious in year 10 and so had to rush a load/not do some, and hence I will be getting worse marks than I could have got.

About the friends thing, never bothered me as everyone loves me, but I suggest that if you're separated from your immediate group of friends, make some new ones quickly, or you'll be stuck outside for a while.

We was still on a course together though, so we were with each other in lessons 5 hours a week. We still talked at break and dinner ect. You'll be fine, just think of where you would meet at break and dinner ect.

Year 10 is important so being with your friends could distract you but still I'm sure you will have a few people you know in your lessons maybe not all of them i did but that was dumb luck

You've got nothing to worry about. As long as you get your coursework done, you'll be fine.

I've just moved into Year 11 and Year 10 was not a problem. You are in ability groups for English and Maths just like in year 7-9 so chances are you will be with your friends.

The option choices you make are often similar to those of your friends anyway however each class is often filled with at least two people from each form group who take that option; so chances are again that you will be ith somebody you know.

As for the two new entries into your form, they are more than likely on their last warning before being expelled and will probably sit at the back and make as little fuss as possible. Don't worry about them.

It is often the case that, when a door is slammed in your face, a window opens. it seems that you have no friends in your class, there will always be people in the same boat and will be easily availible to talk to. Many people in my classes have made better friends in Year 10 with people they had never even seen before in the mixed groups.

dude dont worry about the whole friends thing because what happens is you make new ones and see the other ones outside of lessons, therefore u have twice the amount of friends besides as you get through the year people grow up, dont worry. x
