Pink Floyd, the best band of all time!

Yeh my dads a lover too, but they aint my favourite band and arnt the best band of all time either. You'd have to look at influence, record sales etc.. I'd say best band of all time is U2, just for their popularity, record sales, concert sales and influence throughout the world.

I think Pink Floyd are probably the best live act of all time (the PULSE show at Earls Court has to be one of the best music shows in history).

But the fact that they never really took an interest in trying to make big 'Single' sales (a small handful of music videos and little advertising) stopped them from becoming as popular as perhaps less talented bands are. But saying that, of the many albums they produced, I'd only rate three as excellent albums (DSOM, Wish You Were Here and Animals).

Yep, my favorite band next to Led Zepplin and The Rolling Stones. They have some great classical music, definitely recommended to anyone who hasn't listened/got any of their music yet.
