I like the comedy factor in the new one but i think they ruined the Oompa Lumpa's. Jim Carrey would really have been better suited.

They're two different films...
The 1971 mel stuart one was a musical, and quite different to the book...and actually called "willy wonka and the chocolate factory"
The 2005 tim burton film stuck more to the book, even the songs are the same as those in the book.
I like them both for different reasons, I also think Johnny Depp was very well suited as willy wonka.

I agree about johnny depp being suited to his part.
But I still prefer the old one
