    Media is also one of those subjects that will add pretty much nothing to your CV. It's considered an "easy subject" and isn't looked highly upon when applying for a job.

    Geography wasn't the most entertaining subject, but I chose it. It was hard work but worth it in the end.

    Apparently Geograpghy and History are good academic subjects, and a language GCSE opens up more jobs, so that's what I took. Didn't need both History and Gegoraphy though....

    k well we call it standard grades here and theres different subjects. I take:
    English
    Maths

    History
    French
    Physics
    Hospitality
    Chemistry
    Business Administration
    Physical Education
    Lifeskills
    Religious Education


    The stuff in italics is the stuff I HAD to take ;P

    Yeah, history and geography show you can dissect sources of information and look at things logically, and a language shows you're abole to take in something completely new. Like a few other said, I took all three of those at GCSE level, though of those I only progressed onto A-Level with History.

    A lot of the time the qualifications you earn aren't showing employers what you learnt in your subjects, but the skills you aquired through them.
