In no circumstance do you wanna start the conversation topic with a compliment, obviously you want to compliment her, but you have to do it subtly, like if she says "it was a mad rush to get to school today i didnt have much time to get ready", you slide in then with a smooth "you look great anyway". I hope you get where im coming from.

Rite for the starting of the conversation, usualy the hardest part. You gotta make sure your around her quite a bit, or like you see her in a certain place, so shes expecting to see you. Like if you wait for a bus together or something like that. You wanna make it as casual as possible, make sure you get the eye contact first, so she knows you want to talk to her, then just walk over and simply go,
    "alright, how you doing?"

I know i know, its pretty hard to do it, but dude when you do it (i know you will) its just the best thing, coz then you have started the conversation, and you can tell from her responses where she wants to take the conversation.

Remember: If the conversation runs dry, you gotta have backup topics! But nothing to strenuous, think of simple things like... Did you watch ... last nite? Or What you doing at the weekend?

Im sure u'll get the hang of it, you just have to break the dead lock of not talking, coz the longer you keep it the more chance shes gonna forget about you, and think your not interested.

    Hope this helps

I wouldn't go out with a girl called Bob if I were you. Or if I was me for that matter.

    Sorry just being a ***

Anyway, you're at the same school right? If so, and you're in a class with her, just say something obscure about the work - possibly ask her for some help, that way you can be sure that she's talking to you at least about something, and if there's anything you can link to an amusing anecdote or something, slip that in. Not long-winded jokes, just make fun of a word or something, be a bit cheeky if you're up to it, but keep it clean enough for a lady ^_^

If you're not in the same classes as her at all, still try talking to her at school as much as possible. By that I don't mean "be a leech and follow her around", just be friendly. Get in with her friends so that it's not awkward, because if her friends don't like you it severely lessens your chances with her.

Be sweet, but not overly so. Be funny, but don't get annoying. Be generous, but don't be obsessive. It's not easy, sorry ^_^

Most of the girls in my form are still getting ready when there in the class!! But ya, thats a nice way to compliment them!!

I've had the same problem here with the girl I like, but luckly, I sit next to her in French, and we talk alot, so its not a problem for me anymore!! Ive got her number and everything. Just make sure you are around her so she notices you, but not too much, because she will probz think your stalking her!
