Yes.

The horde consist of: Undead, Trolls, Orcs and Taurens.

The alliance consist of: Gnomes, Dwarves, Humans and Night elves.


So for e.g - if you choose to be a horde race, you will be against team up with other horde races to destroy the alliance. Same goes for if you choose to be alliance.

It's like 2 teams - Horde and Alliance. Both have different cities and quests, but both hate eachother. You cannot talk to the opposite team (faction). So if you choose a horde race, you cannot talk to any alliance, as they will be your enemy.

Sounds complicated, but trust me it isnt.
