we dont celebrate it here.. we have bonfire night on 12th july me thinks.. Well its on the 11th but they light them at 12am. Just when like everyone gathers around and gets drunk while watching the irish flag burn.

[no offence, but thats what happens]

Bonfire night is where Briton's celabrate one's of our history's biggest traitor's. He and some associates tryed blowing up our parliament in 1605 but got caught. They had 36 barrel's of gun powder. The tradition is to have fireworks-gun powder to celabrate and giant bangs, and to burn a 'Guy' on top of your bonfire as this is how Mr Fawkes died.

The reason they planned to do this was to get revenge on the tyrany of James I for his bad treatment of Catholics since the old monarch died.

I built a little bonfire with my brother and mates and set off the fireworks we had. Quite funny, the first one my brother set off was sooooo funny it blew up about a 5 inch hole in our grass because he STUCK it's support into the ground and it just exploded in our garden...
