Well .uk.tt allow you to use links like www.site.uk.tt/forum so its really like having a .co.uk domain or a normal domain.. etc and then theres .tk which dosent but is short and easy to rember..

Splinterecells basicly saying, .tk may be a bit shorter, but just shows the site in an frame, while, .uk.tt , is a bit longer, but works like a normal domain, aka u have the files shown after it http://site.uk.tt/folder/file.php etc if u get me

e.g if u go 2 a .tk site and u load another page, then u re-fresh that page, it loads the homepage again but with .uk.tt u get what mentor said
