Would you be prepared to lose your famlys respect for being gay

Yeah i would be prepared, doesn't matter what they think, it's their life I'm living, it's mine.

Personally I'm straight.

However, I have some gay friends and I feel that if a person is homosexual then that's simply what they are. They are no different to any other person in the world, apart from on the terms of sexuality, but I don't see why that should effect any different views on them.

At the end of the day, people cannot change what they are whether they like it or not, and I simply think peoples families, although it will be hard, need to come to terms with the situation and simply accept it as it can;t be changed. I know for a fact my parents would support me as they both love me, and I don't think a detail such as my sexuality should, or would, effect their opinion of me.

If otherwise, then I would perhaps question whether they actually did fully love me as much as I think, as no childs parents should ever want them to change (unless in extreme circumstances ).
