It started in 2001- UK and arround the end of 2000 for the project goldfish. If you lived in london and near sulake offices they advertised for beta testers in places like schools and internet cafes. There was litle things nexto the the computer about 10cm high with the picture of that red hotel guy sayin "Yes a 5 star hotel on the net" and www.habbohotel.com (the uk was .com then there was no us hotel)
