why should staff be treated better than normal members?

right, i got banned for calling ---MAD--- a dip**** on hi r u fit?. if i called a normal member it then i'd get infractioned. why should it be one rule for calling staff names, and a different rule for calling normal members? i think you should only get infractioned for both, not banned for calling staff....

when u insult me all the time u dont even get any infractions

but yeh i think u should just respect people in the first place then it wouldnt happen

Staff and members are treated equally. Staff are probably treated even more harshly because if they break the rules, they can loose their job and even banned.

I am not sure why you were banned but if you think it was unfair, please use the contact us link to appeal against it.

There are no threads like that any more so I don't know what your talking about. Everything has changed in the mod and smod system .

I'd of banned you aswell, they run the forum and you USE it, you be rude to the people who run it then i don't see why they shouldn't ban you.
No other forum would take it you abused there forum manager or anything.

you can't really compare those quotes. one of my posts was aimed at sierk being a bit thoughtless, he barely posts as it is maybe he shouuld think before he actually does? and all that say it was a compliment are pretty thick and are yet to figure out sarcasm. my other post was about craig calling ---mad--- a dip****, they are two totally different things, so yeah. get back to reality if you think that'ss abuse. also i never oncee said what seirk said was abuse did i? :]

Ive argued with alot of people, but ive only ever been banned when the agrument was with a staff member.
Ostinato for exsample, still thinks blood is blue, although its in his rights to flunk sciance, that doesnt mean im not going to tell him his opinion is both idiotic and wrong, ive said much harsher to many other people whom have also been wrong.
But i got banned for "being rude to staff" in the debate?

How come i never got banned for being rude to members? in fact ive never even got an infraction for it? If isnulting members were treatec anywhere near insulting staff id been on my 7 or 9 thousanth account by now.

Actually as Rule A5 states, we are extra strict when a staff member is abused. The reason is that we also expect more from our staff. We expect our staff to stay friendly and polite at all times, no matter if other people are rude towards them! Unlike normal members who sometimes can reply in a less friendly or polite way to somebody who is also not friendly to them. Because we expect more from our staff, we are also stricter with abuse towards them.

I think you can compare this with other situations, like when you walk on the street and you call your friend an idiot, even if a police officer hears you he won't mind, but if you say the same thing to the police officer you get in trouble. On the other hand the police officer is expected to always stay friendly and polite himself (or at least not swear back).
