I doubt very much that this will ever come into practice.
Guest rooms would not be big enough, furni would be lost easily.
The lag is not a major problem, and the simple way to reduce it is to delete the pets.Resigned from Habbox.

I don't think they will take the chance of having protests, when you vote for who you would like to share your room with (which is at the bottom of the page), I reckon it'll say "Aprils Fools!" when you submitted, instead of "Thanks for voting!"
