Some types of toothpaste with a higher level of flouride can blemish the skin though. It's better to stick with the natural ingredients. I prefere not to use stuff i dont know much about incase it damages my skin. hehe.

    Dude that's vile.. lol

DON'T pop spots to the extent that they bleed/ or weep oil.

This causes unnessesary tissue damage and will take longer to heal. It may also sometimes cause scarring.

    hehe.

Only pop them if the puss has raised to the surface (Yellow Head) or it is very red and swollen. Don't squeeze out blood.

Once you've squeezed the blood use cotton wool or tissue and apply pressure for a few minutes. This will prevent the blood flowwing to the area and causing the spot to flare up and make you turn into rudolph. Hehe

It will only cause scarring if you don't do it the proper way. If you really need to pop it, use a picking tool designed specifically to pop your pimples. Don't forget to cleanse it with rubbing alcohol before each use as well as your fingers.
    Oh no you did not.

If blood/ oil seeps from the wound, then you have damaged the tissue on the surface of your face. This will cause scarring if it continues to bleed.

Also, I have not seen any of these "Picking tools" designed to pick pimples.. Surely these would put pressure on the skin and cause bruising etc?

Whenever I take a visit to my dermatologist, I ask her to pick out my blemishes. Blood does seeps through but I don't have any scarring afterwards.

Hah, I finally read the whole thread. Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't hydrogen peroxide (found in baking soda and toothpastes) an antiseptic and does not heal your skin? I read somewhere in Allure magazine that it stops skin cell regrowth..

It looks like one of those blackhead extractors. Yes, they put pressure on your skin but it doesn't bruise. For me, anyway.

I don't reccomend using toothpaste. It's never worked for me.. It just gave me not-so-pleasing results.

I say stick with tea tree oil
