lol it does look like you would seem a wimp or would whoever it is think oh he must like me that much to not be able to tell me F2F because hes to shy and think hes cute lol. Also, he could make it a romantic letter lol if he really wanted to

try and pluck up the courage to talk to her face to face about it, and if shes always with her friends, ask her to come out one night/day/whatever on her own. trust me, it will be better than writing a letter.
