It's a nice idea to do that. Danny was gonna do it with Uploadz, but it's dangerous as people could run malicious scripts on it, and use it for general purpose hosting.

I can't think of another way, as the plugin uses FTP. The only other possibility I know of is that you would have to code your own version of the plugin.
