You do have to appreciate how they have made a free online system, but I agree that Live is much better.

if you can afford to buy a game every so often and get xbox live gold every month, then they're amazing. i was impressed with mine, but when i invested in rainbow six vegas and 12 months gold subscription, i fell in love :]

I disagree with the first half of this statement. All microsoft did was what they do with pcs, id say the pc set the standard and the 360 has risen to it and its time for the other consoles to do the same. Wii and Ps3 may reach it with all wiis programs like wii votes, news, browser and of course online play which is ace on the ds. Ps3 and Ps3 home may do. I think the wii will have voice chat as nintendo can probably see its becoming an important part of gaming and are introducting it on the ds with diddy kong racing, metroid etc. In fact they are releasing an official ds headset later this month.
