As I'm in college I do tend to spend around £5.00 when having luch as I usally go to the cafe but if your still In school I don't see how you can spend that much?

i spend 40-60p at break and £1.40 at lunch 40p-60p is like a waffle or a cookie or somin yummy. £1.40 is for the meal and a desertbut damn u spend LOTS
Because he is lucky to receive the money? It's as simple as that. It's not as though his parents cannot afford to send him to school as they have obviously managed for at least the past 10 years or so. Also, I highly doubt he would be spending all that money on school stuff. Most people spend that money on clothes or going out or something.
I personally think the EMA is completely unfair. Peoples whose parents are working are basically giving other peoples parents - who perhaps arn't working - money. Therefore, their kids can go out clubbing or buying clothes or whatever, whilst the rest of us have to get a job or something on top of our studies - jeapordising our school work.
I think everyone or no-one should get it to be honest. It just encourages people whose parents don't work to remain unemployed as the state is giving both them and their kids money - and it also encourages the children not to try to get a job as they get the impression they can constantly rely on the state for cash.
