Awrads/Bades Plugin

Theres actually a security reason as to why we do not use badges/awards
From what i have heard it would require a hack/plugin that would leave HxF vulnerable to attacks
Thats just from what ive heard though

Had a quick browse and heres a nifty quote from Jin that explains it quite technically

Hacks can often cause closed security loop holes in vBulletin to re-open and even create new ones.

Because without spending stupid amounts of time checking through PHP code no one at Habbox can be bothered to try and discover security flaws in codes.

We tend not to use them especially the more complex ones which uses the database because in some cases it can be used against the forum by injecting SQL which could corrupt, delete or even give admin access to the forum.

The badges have come up time and time again, the forum would indeed look tacky with them and it would also mean we would probably need to hire an Administrator alone to deal with adding badges etc.

Plus, the badges system may well create secruity problems, which we don't want.

I have been here quite a while and have seen many changes,

I feel Habbox has got the look and everything they need to make it work perfectly.

Habbox don't use many plugins due to security reasons I believe, of course Arcade and userranks being one.

I think it would make it look tacky and unHabbox.

This forum isn't just for Habbo, there are other people who come here who don't care about Habbo.

User ranks is not a plugin (if that is what you were implying ). I am also not sure what the awards plugin would bring into Habbox Forum.
