The Bible has many accurate records of past events, just because you don't believe in all of it's teachings you shouldn't just pass it off as unreliable (although I don't believe it will have accurate predictions of when the world will end).
I personally don't believe the apocalypse will come that early, if it does, it does... but I think it would be wrong to make assumptions based on shaky predictions made by scientists and prophecies created by ancient civilisations .
