I contacted a phone shop there, and was given a quote of £55 including return delivery...

Do you guys think thats reasonable?

I guess it is as they have all been about the same, and they are charging £49.99 for the screen itself - just like every other shop I've seen is...

It was £200. I got it at Christmas as a gift and I really do like it and planned to keep it until at least the beginning of next year...

Hmm how much do u use ya phone? Also u could try buying a screen off ebay if they sell? i expect they do and you could try fitting yourself.. im sure theres a guide somewhere I mean if its a £200 phone just go into your local network shop and get a quote if its £50 or below i would go for it tbh if you like the phone but as i said its entirely up to you

Lol my phone is my baby

Nah I don't even wanna try to fit it myself, I'd rather pay the extra 10 quid and know it's not gonna get demolished, lol.

It's still under warranty I think and Samsung offer free repairs...

What do I do if I need service?
In the event that you should require service assistance, please contact the Samsung Customer Care Team on 0870 SAMSUNG (O870 726 7864). Please have your full Samsung model number and serial number, date and place of purchase and a brief description of the fault/ query ready when contacting our Service Team.
As I got it as a gift though, I don't have a clue where it was bought or when... do you think it'd be alright if I just explained I got it bought as a gift? :S lol

Nop they don't have the receipt... lol I don't expect them to - 5 months later, haha.

Surely they must be able to understand that some products are bought as gifts....

To be honest, do not go to those official repair shops for Samsung. Use those non-official ones, much cheaper
