While I semi-agree with you Mentor, we are obligated to at least attempt to deal with that seeing as if a member said that and avoided the filter to do so, they would have been infracted. We, by ethical values (yes we do have them, we are not a bunch of robots ) should do our best to resolve it if its in our power. Yes, it shouldn't be a problem but some people will complain about it just to be annoying (not necessarily the thread starter, he may have had good intentions) and technically they have a case, a moral one anyway.
