Doesn't make a differance, I have reported posts for ages, not because of wanting to be a moderator, just because I have, yet I havn't been chosen, its just the odd person with a 100% clean record.

Reporting posts does make a difference to wether you are selected or not - it doesn't mean that if you report posts you will deffinatley become a Moderator, however it would help you in the selection process.
