I haven't been able to watch newer episodes of simpsons (Virgin Media) but the funniest new one I remember had a bit when Homer was in the bathroom, Bart walked passed and saw Homer trying to feed his stomache a pizza he sees Bart and says "it's not what it looks like, go away" or something along them lines, I thought that was hilarious I wouldn't say they're getting less funny, I just think the audience has expanded so much they have to include a bit of everything from kiddie things and jokes that the younger people can understand and a few dirty jokes that are well concelled but the older audience are able to see it, if you're getting bored of it then it could just be you're not understanding the jokes aimed towards your age group

    its not that bad.
but when you think that they've done over 400 episodes it'll be hard for them to come up with completely new ideas. Yeah, you may not laugh every couple of minutes but theres usually at least one laugh out loud moment in each.
