@jurai - So gay, lesbian, english, white ect should be filtered then, because people can take offence to them too.

I think that you will find in any reference book or dictionary the word is classed as most derogatory towards people of asian descent in the same way as the N word is for African/American. This does not apply in the same way as Aussie or Brit. Anyway offensive and adult terms are filtered on the forum as well as swearing.
****stani. I don't see why it should be filtered? I think it's unfiltered now.
Its filtered because it can be easily used in a racially offensive or derogatory manner, and the only place you would ever actually need to use the abbreviation on this forum, is if you were referring to a group of people from Pakistan, in the context you are talking about. Strangely enough, it isn't often that a group of people (from any country) are mentioned on this forum in an abreviated fashion.
I'm pretty sure you would laugh at anybody who said "Shut up you Brit", and wouldn't take it as a derogatory or offensive manner. If somebody did say something like that, and you did find it offensive, you could just -rep them or report it to a moderator![]()

Exactly. Its not the word that is bad its the way it is used amd the label it carrys. It IS a racist term used by small minded idiotic people. I have friends who are darker skinned/ indian/ mixed race etc and they have been shouted it in the streets and spat on, so yes, i do think it is an offensive term.I think that you will find in any reference book or dictionary the word is classed as most derogatory towards people of asian descent in the same way as the N word is for African/American. people from packistan are packistanis. If you want to talk about them on the forum then say that. if you are speaking about another middle easten race then call them by there proper name or just say middle easten.
Its different to calling someone an "aussie" because the word aussie doesnt get used as an insult by small minded people.
Exactly but adz, its been unfiltered :/Its filtered because it can be easily used in a racially offensive or derogatory manner, and the only place you would ever actually need to use the abbreviation on this forum, is if you were referring to a group of people from Pakistan, in the context you are talking about.
