See what you mean but if you just use rpogrammes when your site messes up you will never know how to fix it or something so you really need to learn both ways.

i learnt html, mainly before i ever used dream weaver etc. so both wya sis pretty essental, espaly if u wnat to use somthing like php as it would require useage of html from your self. athogh consideing if u didnt botehr leaning a basic landgwage like html u probly woulnt learn php.

Plus knowing html normals very useful if u need to make a quick ajustment to your site threw cpanle or somthing "/

Yea, Editing the site slighley is easy - I could do that
But starting a site completely from scratch with limited HTML knowledge would be very hard indeed

My advice : Get Frontpage or Dreamweaver
Thats the only real easy way to make templates

To make a fairly simple layout like on my site uses 200+ lines of HTML
Just imagine writing all that out

200 lines of raw HTML would take less than 20 minutes
